Coronation Street has confirmed Mick Michaelis’ dramatic escape plot in a brand new trailer that teases danger for some of the residents of Weatherfield.
Back in May, local thug Mick was sent to prison for brutally attacking Craig Tinker, who tragically died in hospital after facing serious complications from his injuries.
The soap has now shared a tense trailer confirming Mick’s escape from prison in which the desperate criminal goes on the run and attempts to reunite with his kids.
In scenes that will air next week on Monday, 14 July, Mick gets the news that his family is falling apart and orchestrates a prison break in order to do a runner with his children Brody, Joanie and Shanice.
Having little to lose, the desperate killer poses a danger to anyone who gets in the way of his mission to find his kids.

Mick’s first port of call is Weatherfield High, but when he realises that his daughter Joanie has been taken home from school by Sally he heads for the cobbles.
Unaware that Mick has arrivedon the street, Sally offers Joanie a tour of Underworld while the factory girls are enjoying a trip to the pub.
As Mick searches for Joanie, he is followed closely behind by Kit. What has Mick got planned and will Kit be able to stop him?
