Since Kody Brown lived in polygamy, two of his OG wives had to be responsible for their kids. This meant that Kody was not necessarily listed on the birth certificates of his children with Janelle Brown and Christine Brown Woolley. Christine had to get insurance for her six children on her own. This was because Kody was only legally married to his first wife, Meri Brown. They divorced in 2014, and that was when he legally tied the knot with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, which played out on Sister Wives. He then took over the responsibilities for her five children, but the family crumbled with the OG3 leaving.

Christine was the first to exit in 2021, and she took her minor daughter, Truely, with her when she moved to Utah from Flagstaff. Then, in September 2024, Christine filed a lawsuit against Kody. She wanted child support, but because he was not on Truely’s birth certificate, a paternity test was done. Now, Christine has accidentally exposed Kody. She has a book coming out this September, and a page from it was allegedly leaked. The page was blurry, but in bold, fans could clearly see $100K in back support. This set Kody off, as he was at an airport, and supposedly was harsh to anyone who dared look at him.
