The glamorous 63-year-old actress appeared on the BBC show hosted by Roman Kemp and Alex Jones on Monday evening (June 23).

During her chat on The One Show, Michelle revealed she’ll be stepping away from EastEnders temporarily to take on a bold new project: a one-woman show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Titled ‘Motorhome Marilyn’, the dark comedy will see Collins take centre stage in a performance that promises to showcase her versatility beyond the walls of Albert Square.
She confirmed BBC bosses have given her a month off the Square for the Edinburgh festival, though it remains unclear how EastEnders writers plan to explain Cindy’s sudden absence from Walford.
Cindy’s explosive return to the Square came as part of the show’s 40th anniversary after a 25-year hiatus. Michelle’s character was presumed dead all those years, but in classic EastEnders fashion, she made an iconic reappearance.
