Coronation Street star Adam Hussain has revealed that an hilarious moment in last night’s episode of the ITV soap was actually unscripted.

The moment in question saw Adam’s character Aadi Alahan trip on the stairs to the front door of Underworld, as he attempted to stop Carla Connor (Alison King) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) from entering the factory.

The actor took to Instagram to reply to a fan who had shared a clip of the trip and was keen to know if it was planned.

‘That was not scripted,’ he revealed in his response.

In the episode, Aadi hosted a midsummer party in a bid to dispel rumours that he was boring.

However, things took a turn when Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) showed up uninvited and attempted to sell LSD.

Having thrown him out and kept hold of the drugs, Aadi agreed with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) that they would take the LSD themselves.

Unfortunately, while Aadi was away from his spiked cup, Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) drank from it by mistake, and ended up suffering a bad trip.

Terrified that she was being stalked by abuser Joel Deering (Calum Lill), Lauren sought refuge in the factory.

As Aadi attempted to coax her out, he was caught red-handed by Lisa and Carla, who weren’t convinced by his cover story.

However, they were quickly distracted after seeing Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) at the party, and headed over to send her home.

When they returned to the factory, Aadi persuaded them to let him join them inside, and he managed to find Lauren and bring her safely home without Lisa or Carla noticing.
