It looks like it’s going to be a while before life settles down for Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street.
Having just publicly come out as gay, he’s exploring a new relationship with Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) while having to deal with a lifetime of trying to pretend to himself that he wasn’t gay at all. His past even involved him being put through so-called conversion therapy, which has left him traumatised.
Added to this, his wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson) has been less than supportive, which is sort of understandable as she feels betrayed and angry. And their daughter Millie (Kaitlyn Earley) has also been causing trouble for Theo and Todd – and continues to do so in upcoming episodes.
Millie recently revealed to Todd that she’s pregnant. When Theo found out he was initially angry at Todd for not telling him straight away, and then he decided to move back to the family home to support his daughter. He assured Todd that he was still committed to their relationship, but he had to move out for the sake of his kids.
It still wasn’t easy for Todd to accept, particularly when Millie started posting happy family pictures including Theo on her social media. In upcoming episodes Todd retaliates to this by posting a selfie of him, Sean (Antony Cotton) and Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) having a drink together.

Glenda (Jodie Prenger) and Sean plan a Drag Night at the Rovers, and Todd suggests to Theo that they should go together. He wants them to have a good time and relax for a change, but Theo is preoccupied with answering texts from Millie all evening.
Annoyed, Todd secretly switches Theo’s phone to airplane mode when he’s not looking. The evening continues and Theo enjoys himself a lot more, assuming that Millie must have got bored of texting him.
At the end of the evening he’s been getting on well with Billy and they decide to swap numbers. Picking up his phone, Theo realises that the reason his phone went quiet is that it was on airplane mode – and there are several missed calls from Danielle.

When Theo contacts Danielle he panics to learn that Millie has been rushed to hospital. He’s furious with Todd for making him miss Danielle’s calls and making it seem like he was ignoring Millie earlier.
As Theo heads off to find out what’s happened to his daughter, Todd is left wondering whether his actions will have done lasting damage to his relationship.
