It was the fallout from the British Soap Awards this week and that can only mean one thing – a shedload of new spoilers and teasers shared by cast members on the red carpet!

Stars from each of the big four soaps have been speaking about their future storylines and we’ve gathered together some of the most juicy details right here.

Meanwhile, word has leaked out over a fan favourite returning to Emmerdale and the official start of a new era in EastEnders. It’s an exciting time to be a soap fan!

1. First Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover cast member confirmed

Coronation Street‘s Jack P Shepherd has seemingly confirmed his involvement in the soap’s upcoming crossover with Emmerdale.

The actor, who plays David Platt, responded with a very confident “Yes!” when we asked on the British Soap Awards red carpet whether he’ll be part of the historic hour-long special.

Although co-star Ben Price warned him not to give any details away, Jack revealed that he expected to be “on the periphery” in the episode.

2. Coronation Street lines up new romance for Daniel

Coronation Street star Rob Mallard has promised a new romance for his character Daniel Osbourne.

Speaking exclusively to us on the BSA red carpet, Rob revealed that Daniel will be “head over heels” for someone new later this year.

Some fans have already speculated that Dee-Dee Bailey could be the lady in question after her unexpected bonding with Daniel in Friday’s episode.

3. Coronation Street’s big new storyline for Asha

Coronation Street star Tanisha Gorey has revealed that her character Asha Alahan will take centre stage in a new issue-based story.

Show bosses will be focusing on the strains and pressures of Asha’s job as a student paramedic later in the summer.

“I’ve got a very, very busy few months coming up. All through summer, all into the autumn. So that’s really exciting. I think you guys are going to be loving it. So I hope I do a good enough job,” Tanisha told us.

4. Coronation Street to expose Brody and Kit secret

Coronation Street teen Brody Michaelis is to discover the truth about his biological father soon.

Ryan Mulvey confirmed the news exclusively with us, explaining that there isn’t long to wait before Brody realises his dad is Kit Green rather than Mick Michaelis.

“I think it’s been bubbling. It’s been boiling – then when he finds out, it kind of just erupts,” Ryan said. “So filming those scenes with Jacob [Roberts, who plays Kit], it’s just been amazing with the directors and everything.

“When he finally figures out who his dad is, his mind’s blown.”

5. Coronation Street’s big plans for younger cast members

Coronation Street star Cait Fitton has promised a big new storyline for the soap’s younger cast.

Cait, who plays troubled Lauren Bolton, promised “something different” as the younger cast come together for a major storyline in the coming weeks.

6. Emmerdale to bring back Bernice Blackstock

Emmerdale fan favourite Bernice Blackstock is thought to be heading back to the village for a guest stint.

According to reports, Samantha Giles is returning to filming at the ITV soap in a couple of weeks’ time – and she’ll be back for a very important occasion.

Bernice is expected to reappear as her daughter Gabby Thomas ties the knot with Vinny Dingle. Will it go off without a hitch?

7. Emmerdale’s Aidan Moore gone for now

Emmerdale fans won’t be seeing any further Aidan Moore drama for a while, after he briefly came out of his coma last month.

With Aidan now back in the same position he started in, actor Geoff Dignan confirmed that he’s finished filming for the time being.

8. EastEnders’ new era to begin

EastEnders fans can look out for a change to the show’s closing credits later this month, marking the beginning of a new era.

The soap has confirmed that episodes airing from 13 June will see Ben Wadey credited as executive producer, taking over from Chris Clenshaw.

Clenshaw announced last year that he was standing down after a successful and award-winning stint in charge.

9. EastEnders star teases Bernie’s exit

EastEnders star Clair Norris spoke about her upcoming exit from the show for the first time this week.

Clair has now filmed her final scenes as Bernie Taylor and has promised a “dramatic” departure for the character after eight years.

In an interview, Clair revealed that “bad Bernie” will making a reappearance ahead of her final scenes.

10. EastEnders’ Shane Richie promises huge new story

EastEnders star Shane Richie has promised a new long-running storyline involving his on-screen family.

“There’s fireworks, there’s Kat and Alfie. There is a story that is about to kick in, which will carry on through to after Christmas,” Shane told The Mirror this week.

“Honestly it’s a big story. If you thought the 40th was big wait until you see this story. That’s all I’m saying.”

11. EastEnders exit for Freddie

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier is leaving the soap after three years as Freddie Slater.

The actor’s final scenes will air later this year as he looks ahead to new career opportunities away from the show.

An EastEnders spokesperson told us: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

12. Hollyoaks’ 30^th anniversary plans revealed

Hollyoaks‘ executive producer Hannah Cheers has spoken about the show’s 30^th anniversary plans for the first time.

In a new interview, Cheers confirmed that she’s plotting a month-long celebration in October, which could see villains Jez Blake and Clare Devine go head-to-head in gripping scenes.

“You can’t do a Hollyoaks commemoration without some kind of spectacle. So there will be a stunt,” Cheers told The Sun.

13. Hollyoaks lines up surprises for Tom’s return

Hollyoaks boss Hannah Cheers has also been sharing her plans for Tom Cunningham to make a return to the soap.

Last seen in September 2024, Tom is heading back to the village to play a key role in Clare Devine’s storyline. And it seems that Tom is a force to be reckoned with once he’s back…

“How could we possibly bring in Clare Devine and not have her original nemesis in the show?” Cheers told The Sun.

“Again, it’s a kind of nod to the past and celebration of all things Hollyoaks. Tom has the upper hand to start with, which I think is what’s so surprising about this story. And there’s a surprise reveal of how we first find Tom.”
