Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate many fans believe that Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) is behind her Uncle EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) shooting, even though many flashbacks seem to imply that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) did the deed.

Since the character was recast in April, she’s been seen here and there on canvas; however, during the week of May 26-30, Rachel will take center stage.

The Days preview shows Rachel talking to her mom, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), in the DiMera mansion when she tells her that EJ was fighting with Johnny the night he was shot, and that Johnny had a gun.

Kristen may use this information to blackmail EJ for something, but let’s talk about Rachel and this new confession of hers.

Fans were completely caught off guard when Days decided to recast the role of Rachel Black.

It’s undeniable that Alice Halsey is doing a great job, but Finley Rose Slater was also incredible in the role.

With that said, Alice’s onscreen parents, Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) and Stacy Haiduk, have sung her praises, and it’s been implied that, due to the direction of the storyline, a change was needed.

Could the scope of Rachel’s character change dramatically? Rachel seems sweeter nowadays, since Alice has taken over.

The character has always teetered on being a nice kid, with a sassy attitude, sprinkled with a little deception, but could she transform into a manipulative one that is ten steps ahead of everyone else?

The recast came right after EJ’s shooting, so it’s natural to think that Rachel was the one behind the gun (for whatever reason), but could this “chat” with her mother be a part of a devious plan to have people believe that Johnny was the one who shot EJ, and deflect any suspicion off herself?

Rachel has always been a good kid with a layer of bad, but could she go into full-blown evil child genius mode?

The Days preview clip does seem to hint that Rachel is playing her mom on some level.

Days of Our Lives spoilers note that there is always a chance that Rachel shot EJ, believing he may harm Johnny, or someone else, but it’s hard for fans to shake the fact that Rachel may have inherited far more of her mom’s manipulative streak than previously thought.

Could she turn into Kristen DiMera 2.0?
