Coronation Street is set to be gearing up for a dramatic and deadly climax as Mick takes matters into his own hands- and Kit may not survive to see another day on the cobbles.
Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) arrived in Weatherfield in February 2025 alongside his wife, Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) and since their introduction have wreaked havoc. Intended to bring drama and upheaval to the cobbles, they have been dubbed ‘nightmare neighbours’.
In a flashback episode, we finally got an insight into the dark past that links Mick, Lou and Detective Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who was introduced into the show last year as the secret son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).
Kit has tried to establish himself as a law-abiding officer, but the reintroduction of Mick and Lou into his life has uprooted parts of his past he’d rather keep hidden. The episode revealed the origins of the trio’s complex relationship and the events that have led to their current tensions.

As tensions continue to rise between Kit and Mick, it’s set to reach a boiling point with Kit suggesting Lou isn’t as loyal to Mick as she claims to be.
Mick sees red and begins a reign of terror around the cobbles, starting with Lou.
Consumed with rage, Mick rings Kit to tell him he blames him for everything before ending the call and ‘taking matters into his own hands’.
Lou, unsure of what Mick will do next, attempts to flee the cobbles with Shanice and Joanie in Tim’s cab as he notices her head wound and insists on bringing her to A&E, where a nurse suggests Lou’s in an abusive relationship. She feels cornered and does a runner, leaving the girls with Tim.

A bloodthirsty Mick declares Kit has ruined his life, and he’s going to kill him as he sets out a plan to reel him in by using Bernie.
Bernie, convinced Kit doesn’t care about her enough to be used as a bargaining chip, pleads with Kit that she did try to contact him all those years ago.

Will Kit show compassion and risk his own life or walk away from Bernie for good?
