Though they have been separated for over five years, Emmerdale fans are still holding out hope for a reunion between Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).
After sharing a surprise kiss in 2017, Charity and Vanessa began an unexpected relationship, eventually getting engaged and merging their families.
However, everything came crashing down when Charity cheated on Vanessa with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), leading to their emotional split in 2019.
Fans were completely devastated by the break up, and have been pleading for a reunion ever since Vanessa’s return to the village in 2024.
Now, even Mack actor Lawrence Robb isn’t ruling out a reunion for the beloved couple, despite Charity and Mack being married.
Though he doesn’t think Mack should be worried about Vanessa and Charity getting closer at the moment, he admits that he can ‘never say never’, adding: ‘Obviously they had great chemistry.’

Vanessa has been slowly getting more involved with Charity’s family again after Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) confided in her that she wanted to try to have a baby via IVF.
Believing that Charity ought to know what her granddaughter was planning, she urged Sarah to confide in her, though the young woman was keen to keep it to herself.
However, in upcoming scenes things take an unexpected turn when her examination at the fertility clinic brings alarming news — the doctor has found inflamation on her cervix.
Feeling unable to confide in Vanessa, Sarah attempts to talk to Charity and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), but when they’re both busy she relents and heads to her hospital appointment alone.

Elsewhere, Mack makes a shocking discovery when he finds Ross Barton (Michael Parr) with cannabis plants, but is sworn to secrecy about his antics.
With two of Charity’s exes back in her orbit, should Mack be worried about either of them?
‘I’m going to remain ambiguous!’ Lawrence teased. ‘For either character there’s definitely grounds to be concerned from Mack’s point of view.
