The decision struck a chord with long-time fans, as Janelle explained through tears that she wished to bury Garrison near her mother and Kody’s father, both of whom are buried there. Wyoming, a place of nostalgia and peace for the family, holds deep emotional ties for them, especially for Garrison.
Janelle recounted Garrison’s fond memories of working summers on the Wyoming ranch and how those experiences helped shape who he was. She revealed that cremation, which was Garrison’s wish, allowed the family to delay the burial until warmer weather, giving everyone a chance to gather and celebrate his life in a way that felt truly meaningful.
Behind the scenes, however, the grief continues to weigh heavily on both Janelle and Kody, despite their estranged relationship. Viewers watched as the two came together, briefly setting aside their differences to honor their son. Kody revealed in a confessional that he had told Janelle, “Let’s take him home,” referring to their plan to lay Garrison to rest in Wyoming beside family.
