Emmerdale has aired a serious warning regarding Joe Tate’s mysterious fall.
Joe has wasted no time making enemies of the locals since his return to the village, with schemes including blackmail, infidelity, spiking and even stealing a kidney. However, last night’s episode saw the villain’s dodgy actions finally catching up to him.
At Lydia Dingle’s 50th party, it was revealed to the guests that Joe was responsible for Noah Dingle’s spiking ordeal and the double limo crash, which resulted in numerous deaths. His schemes regarding Dawn Fletcher and Caleb Miligan were also brought to light.
Though Joe was able to throw the police off the scent, the other villagers weren’t as easily convinced.

In the final scenes, Joe was pushed out of the window at Home Farm and was left lying unconscious on the pavement. But with nine characters on the suspect list, who was responsible for the attack?

In tonight’s episode, Joe was discovered on the ground, surrounded by broken glass, as Kim Tate ordered Noah to call an ambulance. She was relieved to discover he was still breathing.
Billy Fletcher was worriedly hiding behind nearby hedges, before quickly running away from the scene. Meanwhile, Kerry Wyatt also ran away from the aftermath and was later shown hiding something from her bag.
As the news spread through the dales, everyone became defensive over their involvement, while also pointing the finger at their friends and family.

“By the way, me and Ruby were with Cain and Chas, in case you wondered,” Caleb informed a suspicious Charity. “Yeah, I did,” she replied.
At the hospital, Kim and Noah were questioned by the police over the attack, with the latter revealing he saw someone running away from the crime scene. Later, a doctor revealed that Joe had suffered a brain bleed and would be put into an induced coma.
In the final scenes, the villagers were issued a chilling warning from the police detective at The Woolpack.
“Right now, this is an investigation into an attempted murder. Now, as you are all aware, if Mr Tate’s condition should change, so will the charge,” he said, as the camera panned across the nine suspects.
“To be crystal clear, if Mr Tate dies, the charge becomes murder and the punishment much more severe.”
