Emmerdale‘s Tracy Robinson unwittingly celebrates her estranged husband’s killer next week as she tries to make scheming John Sugden feel special.

Tracy teams up with John’s sister Victoria when it seems that he’s missed out on his big moment in the spotlight.

Medical man John has recently been receiving high praise from friends and neighbours, after stepping in to save various residents of the village facing health dramas.

Next week, he’s due to reap the rewards by receiving a heroism award, but the day goes wrong when John’s fiancé Aaron Dingle suffers a mental health crisis.

John supports Aaron but ends up missing the event, which Tracy and Victoria see as a real shame. Fortunately, the eager pair are on hand for the next best thing…

“Victoria and Tracy quickly arrange a celebration at The Woolpack instead,” our Emmerdale source reveals.

“John may have missed the real award ceremony, but Victoria and Tracy make sure everyone knows how much of a hero he’s seemingly been since moving to the village. If only they knew the truth!”

It’s not all praise and well-wishes, though. Aaron’s best mate Mackenzie Boyd is annoyed when he misses out on the gathering.

Mackenzie is also growing increasingly jealous of Aaron and John’s relationship, fearing that Aaron doesn’t have as much time for their friendship anymore.

“Mack’s reaction is a reminder to John that you can’t win over everyone,” our insider adds.

“Poor Tracy is one of John’s biggest supporters, still oblivious that he killed Nate and hid his body, which is the source of all her recent misery and financial problems. But Mack is proving a little harder to impress…”
