HEARTBREAKING UPDATE!!! Coronation Street stars pay sweet tribute after Julie’s heartbreaking exit scenes

Coronation Street stars Tony Maudsley and Jane Hazlegrove have paid a sweet tribute to their co-star Katy Cavanagh following her character Julie Carp’s heartbreaking exit scenes.

In emotional scenes which aired yesterday, Julie, who was terminally ill, died after enjoying a picnic by the lake with her sister Eileen Grimshaw.

When Eileen left their picnic spot to grab something from the refreshment van, she returned to find her sister Julie unresponsive on the ground.

Julie actor Katy Cavanagh returned to the cobbles earlier this year as part of her on-screen sister Eileen’s exit storyline after nearly ten years away from the soap.

She first joined Corrie back in 2008 after enjoying a holiday romance with Kirk Sutherland. Following a rollercoaster time on the soap, Julie left Weatherfield in 2015.
