Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) seem to be on their way back to Salem.

News hit the little town recently that comatose Bo has developed an infection, sepsis. Fans know that Bo is returning to the canvas soon, along with Hope, but could they bring the character back … only to kill him off again?

It’s Giving 2015 Vibes

Days of Our Lives fans have been pretty frustrated over the handling of Bo’s storyline over the years. After he quietly exited in 2012, Bo wasn’t given much of a send-off, so when news hit, he was returning in 2015, viewers had high hopes of a Bope reunion and happily ever after.

Sadly, that did not end up being the case when Bo returned, only for fans to find out he had a brain tumor and died shortly after he and Hope reunited.

Miraculously, it turned out that Bo was cryogenically frozen, and he returned to the canvas in 2023, only to fall into a coma shortly after the fact. Fans have been waiting so long for a bonafide Bope reunion, only to be disappointed.

Now, with the show dropping hints around Bo’s death, will audiences get a good story this time, or could this be the end of the line for Bo and Bope? If history dictates anything, should viewers brace themselves for heartache again?

Making Up For A Botched Storyline

Bo’s been in a coma for quite some time; however, this wasn’t how it was supposed to be. New Days writers, Jeanne Marie Ford and Paula Cwikly told TV Insider in April that the Bope storyline from 2023 was botched.

The new writers noted, “Bo/Hope’s previous exit story could not be executed as originally planned.” According to the writers, the super couple was supposed to reunite and leave Salem to find Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson). Instead, Bo ended up in a coma.

While Bo has an infection, it does seem that a doctor at Salem University Hospital, Dr. Jeffrey Russell (Michael Dietz), has medication that can help, but won’t easily hand it over.

Will the heroes of Salem get hold of the treatment to save Bo’s life? If they do and he wakes up, could he regress once he gets into town? Will the show kill off Bo once again, or will he and Hope finally get the happily ever after they deserve?
