Harrison Ford Indulges In Very Rare PDA With Calista Flockhart As Millionaire Pair Brave Subway

Harrison Ford indulged in a rare public display of affection with his wife Calista Flockhart on the New York subway this week.

The millionaire couple joined throngs of ordinary New Yorkers to brave the congestion and crime in the city’s public transportation system.

Calista, 60, and Harrison, 82, refused to let the grime and grit get in the way of their romantic instincts, kissing passionately on the platform.

They then headed into their train, where Harrison sat down amongst regular commuters whilst waiting to arrive at his destination.

Indicating how spry he remains even at his advanced age, he stood up for part of his ride, holding onto a railing like any other member of the public.

He was dressed stylishly in a blue-grey shirt tucked into dark means, while Calista modeled a flowing grey sweater and loose-fitted trousers.

They were also spotted strolling side by side through the city together, with Calista wrapped in a navy anorak to ward off the lingering chill.

Calista made sure to take advantage of New York’s culinary delights, carrying a shopping bag from upscale grocery store Citarella.

Harrison also layered up at one stage, pulling a grey sweater on over his button-down shirt and warming himself up with a hot beverage.

He could be seen affectionately placing a protective arm around his wife as they navigated the streets of the city that never sleeps.

A fan managed to approach Harrison on the sidewalk, where the Star Wars legend graciously agreed to sign an autograph for him.

Calista is currently in New York starring in an off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard’s play Curse Of The Starving class, alongside True Romance actor Christian Slater.

The dark comedy stars Christian and Calista as a drunken farmer and his long-suffering wife, at the center of an unfolding family crisis in California’s Central Valley.

Last year, Calista – who is Harrison’s third wife – joked that he was ‘afraid’ of her, during an appearance on Live! With Kelly And Mark.

Shortly before, Harrison had been honored with a lifetime achievement gong at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where he praised his wife from the stage.

‘I want to thank my lovely wife, Calista Flockhart, who supports me when I need a lot of support – and I need a lot of support,’ he said.

Calista later remarked that the award was ‘an emotional thing’ and she was ‘very proud,’ as her husband’s ‘body of work is so incredible and it’s so well-deserved.’

They met at the 2002 Golden Globes, and by the following year, they were living together and Harrison announced he was ‘in love’ with her, via Hello! magazine.

‘Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life,’ he said.

‘I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn’t surprised that I did,’ added the Indiana Jones icon, who was then 60.

Calista remarked then that their age gap ‘doesn’t faze me. Sometimes I even say: “Wow, I keep forgetting that he’s 22 years older than me.”‘

She insisted: ‘It doesn’t factor into our relationship at all. I like the way he looks first thing in the morning. It’s not handsome, it’s more cute. He looks like a little boy.’

Notably, Harrison and Calista have never worked together onscreen despite having been romantically involved with one another for over two decades.

‘That’s just the circumstantial reality where we haven’t been offered something where we’d work together,’ he told Us Weekly this February, adding that he would ‘love to’ work with her.

Fans can currently catch Harrison on the Apple TV+ sitcom Shrinking, led by Jason Segel who plays a newly widowed therapist attempting to cope with his loss.

Harrison features on the program as an older therapist suffering from Parkinson’s disease, amid a cast that includes Scrubs alumna Christa Miller and 2 Dope Queens co-host Jessica Williams.

Calista also recently made a splash on the small screen, portraying Jacqueline Kennedy’s younger sister Lee Radziwill on the Ryan Murphy series Feud: Capota Vs. The Swans amid a cavalcade of top-flight names like Naomi Watts, Chloe Sevigny, Tom Hollander, Molly Ringwald and Diane Lane.
