Daisy Midgeley is at a breaking point in Coronation Street as her life grows more tenuous, and she plans to escape to find peace. She fails to mention to him that the money stems from the catfishing con scheme she has conspired with Christina Boyd.
A Coronation Street source spilled that, as far as Daisy’s concerned, there’s not much of her anymore in the area. She no longer mates with Jenny and doesn’t want to have anything to do with The Rovers once more. It’s only Daniel and little Bertie who are holding her back. If Daniel decides to go with her, she feels they can have a quiet, drama-free existence.
But peace isn’t what Daisy’s schemes are founded on. As their scam gains traction, Daisy and Christina move things along when Jenny’s cyber fan, Dom, turns up at The Rovers. Unknown to Jenny, Dom is merely a pawn in their scheme, brought in by Christina to be the suave businessman.
Jenny is soon smitten, particularly after Dom informs her that he’s selling his company and that anyone who invests at this time is certain to double their money. Infatuated, Jenny agrees to invest right into Daisy and Christina’s trap.
Too Many Secrets, Too Close to Home
But the success of the scam might prove to be short-lived. The following day, Dom shows up at the bar once more, to Daisy and Christina’s surprise. Jenny assures them that she and Dom stayed up all night just talking, but admits to being in love with him quickly.
Things start spinning when Daisy and Daniel go to Chariot Square for a massage as a couple, only to run into Christina and Dom. This unplanned encounter is likely to blow things apart. Witnessing Christina flirting with Jenny’s “boyfriend” makes Daniel suspicious, and he starts wondering what exactly is happening.
A Corrie insider said that this sort of behaviour is guaranteed to make Daniel uncomfortable. If he discovers Daisy’s fraud, it could be catastrophic for the con and her dream of starting anew with him somewhere else. Now, Daisy faces a dangerous crossroads.
