Emmerdale spoilers follow for Friday’s (April 18) episode that is now available to view on ITVX. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 7:30pm.
Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was left seriously concerned about Caleb Milligan’s (William Ash) wellbeing after he revealed his intention to have Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) murdered.
Joe, as viewers know, had Caleb attacked and moved to a remote medical facility in order to steal his kidney.
The young businessman, who was seriously ill upon his return to the village, played the hero in subsequent scenes, with Caleb believing that his newfound nephew was the one who rescued him, unaware of the true nature of what he’d done.
But Caleb started to piece together the truth earlier this week and, after a visit to the private health clinic where the procedure took place, he decided to confront Joe and get answers.
In violent scenes, he attacked Joe, paying particular attention to his surgery wound, working out that the villain took his kidney.
Caleb was all set to go to the police but Joe turned the tables, revealing he knows all about Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) demise.
With Joe having him over a barrel, Caleb visited Cain, asking for his help in murdering his archenemy.
Having come to believe that he’d killed Joe in 2018 following an altercation, Cain outright refused to help his brother claim violent revenge on the Home Farm businessman, urging Caleb to proceed with caution, otherwise he’ll end up in prison.

But angered by the depths Joe has sunk to, Caleb organised to meet with his nemesis outside the depot and revved the engine of his car while moving towards him.
Fearless Joe antagonised Caleb in front of the vehicle, calling him out for being minutes late to their rendezvous.
Fuming, Caleb attempted to run Joe down but Cain appeared out of nowhere to rescue his former enemy, pulling Joe to safety.

Caleb was livid with his sibling but Cain reiterated that he’s only looking out for him, reminding Caleb that he could lose everything if he resorts to murder.
This tale is far from over, as the closing moments of the episode confirm, so you’ll just have to tune in to find out what’s in store next.
