EASTENDERS actress Lacey Turner has opened up on the embarrassing way she was forced to tell her co-stars she was pregnant with her third child.
The Stacey Slater actress welcomed a new bundle of joy, Gipsy, at the start of the year and returned to the BBC soap less than a month later in order to play a pivotal role in the soap’s live episode.

But before heading off on maternity leave, Lacey has told how her fellow EastEnders The Six members were the first to discover that she was expecting another baby.
Lacey opened up on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in which she admitted that she was forced to come clean about her pregnancy after falling asleep on set from tiredness during the filming for Dean Wicks’ court scenes.
Speaking to host Giovanna Fletcher on the podcast, Lacey revealed: “But I was literally falling asleep filming the court scenes for Dean.
“My head was on the table. The director must have thought, what has got into her?
“Because I’m not like someone who relaxes, I’m always up and about and I didn’t help.”
The soap star continued: “But I was in a room full of like, men who had no idea what was going on.
“I could tell like I was filming with the six women, you know, the six and all…. We was in the Winnebago, and they were like, ‘oh, how are you feeling?’.
“And I was like, ‘well, I’m actually pregnant’. And they all literally fell to their knees. And I was like, ‘you’re the first people I’ve told!’.
“Because I thought they must be thinking like, ‘What is she doing? Why do you keep falling asleep everywhere?’. I wasn’t going to get away with it.
“Normally you can pop up to your dressing room, but I didn’t have a dressing room to hide.

“I had nowhere to hide. I’m just stuck in the Winnebago with everyone looking at me.”
Lacey confirmed she had given birth to her tot in January of this year.
She posted a picture of the little one wearing a cardigan, with the name ‘Gipsy’ written on the back.
She told her followers the unique name she had gone for by simply writing: “Gipsy Olive.”
MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year?
The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year.
Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998.
Yet what about the 2024 exits?
Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had “quit” the long-running series.
It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen.
Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford.
Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would “quit out of boredom” over recent storylines.
Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame.
One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky.
He played Stacey Slater’s brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel.
Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay’s Netflix movie 6 Underground.
Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005.
She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008.
People rushed to comment on it, with one person writing: “So lovely, beautiful name.”
A second said: “Oh what a lovely name.”
While a third added: “Beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.”
Lacey, who plays Stacey Slater in the BBC soap, is already mum to Dusty, five, and three-year-old son Trilby who she shares with her husband Matt Kay.
Lacey and Matt are childhood sweethearts and tied the knot in Ibiza back in 2017.
