General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos) recently revealed his post-GH journey, so let’s talk about why Michael’s former portrayer is proud of the path he’s on.
On Instagram, Duell confessed that he’s been focused on tackling some challenges during his time away from the show – both mental and physical ones.
It turns out Duell has been going through a major transformation, so here’s what he had to say about that.
“Been on a real journey lately… mentally and physically,” Duell shared in his post, which included a shirtless pic.
He goes on to say, “Dropped nearly 20 pounds since December, but the weight that really mattered wasn’t just physical. Been shedding old mindsets, self-doubt, and comfort zones too.”
Duell also opened up about mental growth and how it can affect your body. That’s something the actor has experienced throughout this significant journey he’s been on.
“Funny how the more you grow mentally, the more your body wants to match that energy. Or maybe it’s the other way around? Either way, they’re definitely in a relationship… and I think they’re getting serious,” Duell insisted.
As he wrapped up his post, Duell hinted that he’s not quite where he wants to be yet. However, he is embracing this transformative path and taking pride in what he’s accomplished.
“Still a work in progress, but I’m proud of the path I’m on,” Duell said. “Growth isn’t always loud, but it shows up if you stay consistent.”
Of course, Michael remains an important part of the drama despite being off-screen recovering in a German clinic.
There’s certainly been a lot of talk on ABC’s GH about Michael and when he might ultimately return to Port Charles.
When that day comes, will Chad Duell return as Michael Corinthos or will the role be recast?
Time will tell, but it’s nice to see Duell’s doing so well when it comes to conquering some personal challenges!
