KYM Marsh has quit Waterloo Road after five series as part of a life overhaul as she heads towards 50.
The singer turned actress is keen to focus on new projects as she looks to the future after last month dumping her toyboy boyfriend.
Kym was one of the biggest names on the cast when the series was revived in 2023.
But she’s told bosses she will finish her shift as canteen worker Nicky Walters when the current series ends.
And The Sun can reveal she has already filmed her final scenes.
The move is part of Kym’s life shake-up as her fiftieth birthday looms and follows the three-times married star’s split with Samuel Thomas – who was 19 years her junior – last month after six months together.
A source said: “Kym is in a new chapter of her life.
“She’s heading towards 50 and wants to try as many new things as she can.
“One of the reasons she dumped Samuel was because she just wanted to have some fun and see where her work takes her.

“She’s already got a busy work and family life and is very much enjoying her freedom and being able to take on exciting new projects wherever they may take her.”
The former Coronation Street actress has moved into presenting over the last couple of years.
She is a regular on BBC’s Morning Live and has a travel show on Channel 5 with Richard Arnold.

The news is a major blow to bosses on Waterloo Road, as Kym was one of their biggest names.
And it comes just weeks after newest signing Jason Manford quit the drama.
The source added: “Kym was brought in as one of the big stars when the BBC decided to revive Waterloo Road a couple of years ago.
