EastEnders’ Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) plots to escape Walford next week as the truth about her son Barney’s (Lewis Bridgeman) paternity threatens to explode.
Earlier this week, Zack Hudson (James Farrar) discovered the shock truth that he is Barney’s real dad after his secret fling with Nicola 16 years ago.
Nicola is desperate to keep this bombshell from Barney and her ex-husband Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), who has spent the last 15 years believing Barney is his.
On Wednesday, she appeared to gain the upper hand when Barney revealed to his mum that Teddy’s girlfriend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) cheated on him with her ex-husband Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) – a secret Zack has been trying to help his sister Sharon keep.
A tense dinner between Nicola, Teddy, Sharon and Zack follows on Thursday, as Nicola believes she has eliminated the threat.
But when we return to Walford on Monday, it seems her problems have not gone away.
Fans will see Nicola call Zack to Harry’s Barn, as the pressure builds.
In a last-ditch attempt to run away from the situation, Nicola then books a trip to Spain for the family.
However, her plans are thwarted when Teddy refuses to attend.
Sharon later seeks Nicola out at Harry’s Barn where the pair go head-to-head in front of a confused Teddy, Harry and Barney.
