When 1923 returned for Season 2, many viewers first noticed the memorial message for Cole Brings Plenty at the start of the premiere. But Aminah Nieves has since made it clear that the tribute was not limited to a title card or a passing image.
In her interview with TV Insider, she said returning to finish Teonna’s story while honoring “our brother Coco, Cole Brings Plenty” was both deeply difficult and deeply meaningful, showing that the emotional weight was carried into the work itself, not just placed around it.
