EastEnders’ Ian Beale is to make an alarming discovery about Cindy, after he suffers a major health scare.
Cindy has been hiding a lot from her fiancé, as this year she embarked on a scandalous affair with Junior Knight, the son of
her ex-husband George.
What’s more, last month she also admitted to David Wicks that her heart really lies with George – in a recorded
conversation that is set to be exposed this Christmas.
Cindy and Junior’s affair looked to be over when she ended things after Ian’s proposal. But it seems that things are back on, and this week Kojo discovers their secret relationship.
A shocking incident will result in Kojo being rushed to hospital, and in scenes that will air next week, Cindy finds out that he is being woken from his coma – suggesting that the situation gets very serious.
Meanwhile, a still oblivious Ian takes charge of Walford’s annual Christmas lights switch-on, and he asks Cindy to help him prepare for the festivities that evening.

It appears that Ian has taken on too much with planning the event, and he is struck down with chest pain at home, with Kathy calling an ambulance. There is reason to be concerned, as last year Ian suffered a sudden heart attack.
While Ian is fine, the doctor tells him to take it easy, and Kathy is convinced that Cindy is to blame for his increased stress levels.
Cindy also arrives at the hospital – but to see Kojo, as she isn’t aware of what has happened to Ian.
She later comes clean to Junior and admits that Kojo has discovered their affair. She begs him to help keep Kojo quiet, so Junior decides to pay his own visit to the hospital to see his uncle.
The next day, Ian chooses not to tell Cindy about his health scare the previous evening, even though Kathy thinks this is a bad idea.
Elsewhere, Cindy and Junior have a steamy encounter at his flat, but she quickly leaves when Junior gives her a sweet gift.
She forgets to hide this present, as back at home, Ian is alarmed when he discovers a jewellery box in Cindy’s pocket.
How will Cindy explain this, and will Ian find out the truth?
