1. Phil Mitchell Confesses His Love to Sharon Sharon is touched when her brother, Zack Hudson, and her son surprise her for Mother’s Day, lifting her spirits. However, her joy is short-lived when Nigel Bates reveals that Phil is missing. Given Phil’s recent struggles with depression and a past suicide attempt, Sharon, Nigel, and Denise Fox quickly contact the police. Thankfully, Phil soon returns, revealing that his absence was a misunderstanding caused by Nigel’s dementia. While Phil tries to smooth things over, Sharon isn’t convinced. With Denise and Kathy Cotton’s encouragement, Sharon attempts to intervene in Phil’s life. Moved by her concern, Phil finds the courage to confess his feelings to Sharon. But just as Sharon processes his words, she’s hit with another shock.
2. Vicky Fowler’s Return Sparks Suspicion Vicky Fowler arrives back in Walford, bringing plenty of drama. She steps out of a cab with her new partner, Ross, and his teenage son, Joel, leaving Sharon stunned. Vicky explains that she’s returned for Martin’s funeral and reveals that she and her longtime partner, Spencer Moon, have split. Eventually, Sonia gathers the strength to join Beex, and they’re later joined by Kathy, who shares heartfelt words about Martin. While Beex and Kathy are able to express their grief, Sonia struggles to speak. Left alone, she finally breaks down, bidding her brother a tearful goodbye. With the funeral looming, can Martin’s loved ones navigate the difficult day ahead?
4. Trouble for Peter Beale and Lauren Branning Peter tries to reassure Lauren on the day of their baby scan, but his mind is elsewhere—his mother, Cindy Beale, has gone missing after an old friend, Gita Kapoor, alerts him. Caught up in his worries, Peter misses the scan, leaving Lauren furious. She’s frustrated that Cindy’s presence continues to disrupt their lives.
