It seems that Kody Brown once again found a way to make a major family event all about himself. Fans of the show weren’t surprised to see him turn his own son’s wedding into an opportunity for sympathy, much like his wife Robyn Brown has done for years. But now, Michelle is calling out the way their special day was twisted for television.

While they knew they couldn’t control everything, they never expected it to become a major plot point. “We told the family we preferred the wedding not to be mentioned on the show at all,” Michelle explained, “but we knew we couldn’t control what they talked about. She added that while a brief mention wouldn’t have been an issue, the way the show framed it—emphasizing awkwardness and estrangement—was disheartening. “Seeing a long explanation that it was sad and awkward was not fun to come across on my TikTok,” Michelle admitted.
Interestingly, Logan’s mother, Janelle Brown, also made some comments during the episode that caught Michelle’s attention. While reflecting on the wedding, Janelle described it as “bittersweet” and mentioned how it was the first time the entire family had been together since the big split. Yet, despite being on the sidelines, Kody and Robyn still found a way to make Logan’s wedding about their own struggles, rather than celebrating their son’s big day.
