1 Yellowstone Character Is So Cartoonish She Singlehandedly Destroyed Taylor Sheridan’S Quest For Authenticity – Breaking News Updates

Since it kickstarted back in 2018, Yellowstone has managed to make its way into audiences’ hearts and minds worldwide for one too many reasons. While it initially became something that earned Taylor Sheridan all the fame as a show creator cum runner that he didn’t have before as an actor, it also became famous for all its numerous elements contributing to its authenticity.

But even though Sheridan, for one, ostensibly did everything in his power to make his drama series seem as authentic as possible, he seems to have lost his way when it comes to one particular character in the show. This is because the character was quite literally created so cartoonish that fans believe she singlehandedly destroyed the showrunner’s quest for authenticity: Teeter.

Teeter’s in Yellowstone really messed with Taylor Sheridan’s quest for authenticity

Besides the family drama-heavy plotlines that had the Dutton family clash with others and with their own family over their long-standing ranch, one thing that Taylor Sheridan ostensibly especially focused on in Yellowstone was authenticity. From all the horses to their way of living, he made sure everything fit perfectly in the picture in the Western masterpiece.

However, the showrunner inevitably seems to have lost control somewhere in the middle, considering how he introduced a character like Teeter into the saga. Debuting in the series in season three, the respective character brought to life by Jennifer Landon was actually brought on board as a ranch hand who was hired on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.

But instead of turning out to be another bearable character, she was brutally scrutinized for being a bit too cartoonish. While she was Colby’s (played by Denim Richards) burden to bear as her flirting with him eventually transforms into the pair becoming each other’s love interests, the character didn’t please fans too much, and for one too many reasons.

One major reason behind this was her accent. For one, fans couldn’t help but point out how much of an exaggeration it felt as they brutally trolled her over the same. In fact, to say the least, this very accent was the thing that pretty much singlehandedly destroyed the showrunner’s quest for authenticity, and now fans can’t stop talking about it.

Fans are calling Teeter out for her cartoonishness, especially her accent

Even though Yellowstone is done with its run, fans are still not over with some of its elements that the showrunner failed to tame accurately. Like just how cartoonishly Taylor Sheridan introduced Teeter in the Western lore. Thus, taking to Reddit, they have been expressing their disappointment regarding the same. Here’s what they have to say:

Well, after reading all of these comments, it can’t really be denied that the fan-favorite Western show’s Teeter has become a lightning rod for criticism, with fans calling out her cartoonish character and accent for disrupting the show’s authenticity. That said, the question to be asked here is: Did Taylor Sheridan’s quest for realism fall short with this character?
