Coronation StreetĀ star Vinta Morgan has confirmed his character Ronnie Baileyās future amid the heartbreaking Debbie Webster plot. The latter is in the middle of a dementia storyline, while her troubles have also seen her take the fall for son Carl following theĀ CorriedaleĀ crash, and is now in prison.
Husband Ronnie has seen through Carl, and next week he grows even more suspicious of him afterĀ Debbie instructs Ronnie to transfer Ā£2,000Ā to her son.
Unable to convince her otherwise, he turns to brother Ed for advice ā but will they be able to protect Debbieās money?
Opening up Ronnieās protective instincts, Vinta confirmed that his character will be in it for the long haul and wants to shield her from unnecessary stress.
āHe wants to protect Debbie,ā the actor toldĀ The Mirror. āHe wants to slow down the illness and prevent her from any stress that could speed up her decline. He will continue to be a real rock for her.

Vinta joinedĀ CorrieĀ as Ronnie back in 2021, with the character and Debbie tying the knot earlier this year.

Meanwhile, it appears that Carl may be in some danger, with a flashforward episode earlier this week revealing heĀ could be one of five characters set to be killed offĀ onĀ 23 April.
