There’s immediate concern for Debbie next week in Coronation Street as her long-awaited prison release takes a worrying turn. What should be a moment of relief quickly spirals into panic when she suddenly disappears, leaving those closest to her fearing the worst.
At first, things seem positive. Over at the Rovers, Kevin is in high spirits as he shares the news with Gemma that Debbie has won her appeal. It’s the outcome everyone has been hoping for, and there’s a sense that things might finally be looking up.
But that hope doesn’t last long.
Ronnie soon arrives with alarming news: Debbie has gone missing. The mood instantly shifts, and Kevin is thrown into panic as questions begin to swirl about where she could be and why she’s vanished so soon after being released.
Thankfully, it’s Carl who eventually tracks her down, finding her sitting alone on the swings. He’s genuinely pleased to see she’s out, and for a moment, there’s a sense of relief. But with Carl involved, things are never quite that simple.
It quickly becomes clear that Debbie is still incredibly vulnerable, and Carl wastes no time taking advantage of that. In a twisted move, he asks her for £10,000 to pay off Fiona. Even more worrying, Debbie agrees to give him the money, on the condition that he works to pay it back.

When Ronnie finds out, he’s horrified. Already suspicious of Carl’s motives, this only confirms his fears that Debbie is being manipulated at a time when she’s already vulnerable. Determined to get to the truth, Ronnie decides to contact Fiona himself.
Meanwhile, Debbie attempts to get back to some kind of normality at the Chariot Square Hotel, but it’s clear she’s struggling more than she lets on. When Tracy and Mary meet with a bride and her mother to discuss wedding flowers, Debbie steps in to serve Champagne. However, things take an awkward turn when she makes some ill-judged comments, leaving the bride’s mother visibly taken aback as Ryan watches on with concern.
Later, she’s left flustered when Summer arrives at the hotel and bluntly asks whether Carl was driving the car the night Billy died. Clearly desperate to avoid the confrontation, Debbie makes a hasty escape, but in her panic, she grabs two extremely hot plates from Ryan. A poor choice, as she burns her hands and drops them, drawing even more attention to her fragile state.

Behind the scenes, Debbie is also dealing with devastating personal news. After receiving her latest scan results, she learns that her condition has worsened.
As tensions rise, Ronnie’s anger towards Carl reaches a boiling point. Spotting him flirting with Jodie in the café, Ronnie confronts him, furious at what he sees as a complete lack of care for Debbie. The situation nearly turns physical as Ronnie squares up to him, unable to hide his frustration any longer.
But in a surprising twist, Ronnie later approaches Carl at the hotel and appears to extend an olive branch, apologising and suggesting they start afresh. Given everything that’s happened, it’s hard not to question his motives, especially with Debbie caught in the middle.
With Debbie’s disappearance raising alarm bells, her health deteriorating, and dangerous people pulling her in different directions, next week’s Corrie is set for high drama. The big question is whether those around her can step in before things spiral even further, or if Debbie is heading for even more heartbreak.
