Rafe is happy. Gabi? Not so much.
It was a tale of two siblings on the Wednesday, November 6 episode of Days of Our Lives. Rafe and Gabi found themselves
on different sides of the emotional event spectrum. Rafe popped a question while Gabi signed on the dotted line.
Happiness
Did Rafe (Galen Gering) finally get it right? He’s been unlucky in love for years and years. But with Jada (Elia Cantu), it looks like his luck has changed. In the middle of the hospital, he got down on one knee and asked his partner in life and work to marry him. His instructions from his Tia were to give it to the person he knew he would love for the rest of his life. And he knew that person was Jada.
Rafe responded to a life-or-death situation. When he was on the phone with Jada, a gun went off while she tried to bring Vivian (Louise Sorel) into the station. When it turned out Vivian got hurt, and Jada was okay, he had to take stock. Because “time stops for no one.” And so, instead of a romantic dinner with champagne and dancing, he made an impromptu venue
He asked her to marry him as onlookers watched. And she didn’t wait too long before she said yes. Every soap needs happy couples. Sure, they should face obstacles that test those bonds of love, but it’s nice to see a couple survive their latest challenges (ex-husband and a coma) and experience happiness.
Despair
On the other side of the spectrum was Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), who rushed over to Stefan (Brandon Barash) to settle this divorce business. After all, she didn’t want to end their marriage. Instead, she wanted to fight for it. Apparently, her thirst for revenge was over, and she wanted to reunite.
Unfortunately, Vivian had other plans. That woman is on a forging kick. There’s the letter claiming Victor (the late John Aniston) wanted Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) to be the heir to Titan. She also forged Stefan’s signature on the divorce papers. This means that should the man ever escape Alamainia and make his way back to Salem, they will still be married. So let’s put a pin in that.
Currently, Gabi’s taking her anger out on EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) because Vivian forged a letter from Stefan. He said he couldn’t even look at Gabi and EJ anymore. The betrayal was too real, so he packed up his things and left town. This letter caused Gabi to finally sign the papers.
So, she doesn’t have Stefan, and she’s currently projecting all her anger on EJ. But thanks to that Winter Preview, the show recently dropped at the Day of DAYS fan celebration, Gabi won’t be alone for too long. Although we’re unsure about the timeline, it looks like Gabi reunites with JJ, while EJ seems to have fun reconnecting with Belle before he’s gunned down JR Ewing-style.
It’ll be interesting to see how things play out until those episodes start airing. A lot of damage can be done between now and then. But at least Rafe has finally found happiness. How long will he and Jada be able to keep that happiness express train going?
In other news, Aaron (Louis Tomeo) now knows what his older brother was up to in Paris and confronts him at the jail. He also knows that his sister Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) is out of rehab and is in jail with Mark (Jonah Robinson). When will they tell Felicity (Kennedy Garcia)? Also, why does Clyde (James Read) want Cat out of jail?
